What I was commenting on was the total return of investment. You have pointed out the fact that small changes (the difference is even smaller in a continuous-time approximation) in growth rates result in large changes in total return over significant periods of time -- which is a very important fact to realize. However, what matters is the return on your investment. Cheers.
