Until there is a alternative to the Windows operating system there can be no challenge to msft. Apple could be in msft's enviable position had they played their cards right back in the mid 80's, after all, Apple was the first to offer desktop pc's. But no, they left the door open for msft, who made some brilliant decisions and have reaped the benefit of doing so. I, personally would like the choice of using another operating system but the only one I know of is OS 2 from IBM, so we are stuck with Windows, like it or not. Jim Dallas
