True, one would be remise to completely discount MSFT. They've built quite a company based on 'the next release'. A couple of strikes against MSFT I think:

+ NT-only. How limiting is this in your opinion? Personally, I don't ever see UNIX going away at the high-end. IFMX does both.

+ MSFT's business model. I don't think MSFT will ever provide the kind of sales and service that corporate buyers require.

IFMX clearly has an opportunity to do very well in this space. If F. could land a couple of very visible, very big deals, then away we go. Sometimes I wish that F. had just a touch of sales schmooz. He may have to have too much integrity to be in the SW business.
