True, SQLserver on NT doesn't scale today!

On the hardware side NT already scale on Intel Profusion, or on NCR 4380s... I believe that next versions of SQLServer will resolve scalability - it might take awhile to re-architect basics - but SQLServer never claimed to go for the high-end DBMS market.

The issue is the fierce competition for the high-end among Oracle, Informix, IBM DB/2.- I happen to believe that the market will grow much faster and all survivors will do well. SYBS seems to be out of the game; they are the obvious victims of SQLServer 7.
