F.A.S.T. 1 success officially confirmed in Baltimore Pyng Technologies Corp PYT Shares issued 7,677,856 Apr 30 close $4.60 Fri 1 May 98 News Release Mr. Michael Jacobs reports The company has received the first official report that the F.A.S.T. 1 system for adult intraosseous infusion has been used under emergency conditions at Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital. The F.A.S.T. 1 system provided vascular access to a patient who had been admitted into the emergency ward for a potentially life threatening condition. Therapeutic drugs and fluids were administered and the patient was stabilized and recovered. Conventional IV access was not available to the staff due to the patient's damaged veins associated with IV drug abuse. The F.A.S.T. 1 system was kept in place for 24 hours and provided the only means of vascular access for the hospital staff to administer drugs and fluids for an extended period. The patient was monitored for complications over seven days and none were reported. No pain was reported from the patient during insertion or removal.
