I noticed HP designed the S3-Trio64V2 (low end 2D) into its new lower end (Celeron) Brio small business PCs. If you're cynical you could say if S3 announces this next week the stock will rise again. The truth is, HP business PCs were almost 100% S3 two quarters ago, now maybe 20% (the Vectra business is using Cirrus and ATI chips now). The only positive aspect may be that some OEMs haven't completely shut
out S3. I think there's going to be some cut-throat competition and it will be tough for S3 to regain market share for higher-margin products.
