Why would CRUS want to buy back their shares when no one in the entire investment community wants to buy their shares? The whole thing is a smokescreen. If they wanted to buy, they would have bought. CRUS is going to do with the money what it has done in the past--waste it on some prolifigate purchase on some "hot" company with "must-have" technology ripe for many "synergistic" possibilities. Like PCSI, aka Hackworth's folly. Jeez, I think I speak for the entire investment community, in fact the entire technology community, when I say that there is nothing but SHAME associated with CRUS. Shame for the horrid performance, shame for the bad morale, shame for the greed, shame for the blindness, shame for the management debacles, and most of all, shame for the utter and complete disregard of the shareholders. But perhaps the most eloquent and the most damning statement that I or anyone can say about CRUS is the following: its stock price, 10 3/8. That one number in its utter simplicity represents all of the ineptitude, incompetence, lost income, hubris, dashed hopes, ruined families, mental depression and loss of faith in the future.
