Here's a great post from MFaol by IheartRFC:

Subject: MGM Observations

The following observations span from Sunday evening (April 26th) thru Friday Morning (May 1st).

You will note with disappointment, as I did, how weak the breakfast hour was from Monday thru Thursday. The weakness is especially disappointing in light of the fact that the OZ Buffet (just across the way) is closed for remodeling as The Freep pointed out in an earlier post. Friday, however, was a different story altogether. I expected to walk in at 8:30 AM and find the usual 10 to 15 tables occupied. Instead, the place was almost full. Our
waitress had an explanation for the big improvement. She said that the MGM had been full of AVON ladies the last few days who were there for an AVON convention. AVON ladies like to make substitutions when they order a meal. When they bumped up against the `No Substitution" policy of the Rainforest Cafe, they left mad, didn't come back, and apparently warned all of their AVON colleagues not to go there either. So, the waitress said, "Breakfast has
been slow the last few days".

Beanie Babies - Not a single one was to be found in retail all week. Yet, the gift shop at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino had plenty and the "Endangered Species" Store at Ceasars had literally hundreds of them in many varieties, old and new. It made me wonder if RAIN is perhaps being punished for their "$75 per Beanie" trick.

Closing Early - I happened by at 11:30 PM on Wednesday to find the gates to RAIN closed. I asked an employee who was still in the vacinity about this and she said that when things are slow toward the end of the day as they have been recently, RAIN will close shop an hour ealier than the posted closing times. On the bright side, early closings demonstrate a willingness on the part of managment to practice cost control.

Anyway, here are some day-to-day observations from the past week:

Bathrooms - Both the Mens and Womans needed some attention

- Towels all over the floor at the other dispenser

- Curiously, when we got to the bottom of the steps that lead to the
