I have no problem with someone taking on a project with so much passion as you have. I do find it strange the responses I get (not just from you) for injecting a little scepticism.

For the record, I NEVER said there was no Y2K problem. It is about time the companies running antique computers and software join the 20th century. Anything that is "date sensitive" can be affected. I feel most of the problems will be corrected in time, and the embedded problem will not be as bad or as broad, and this Y2K calamity will not be as bad as most fear.

My Car, Toaster, Fax Machine, Voice Mail System, etc, will work in the year 2000.

The above has been my opinion.

CK

I am not attempting to make light of the Y2K problem. However, I do have some interesting disclosure statements from companies that represented to the SEC that they have solved to problem at least as far as their internal systems go.

In light of your vitriolic response to my previous posts, I am reluctant try to post something that you obviously don't want to hear. I too am "trying to be part of the solution." I feel there is a benefit in holding these disclosures up for examination and trying to influence future disclosures by constructive criticism and public suasion rather than governmental fiat.

Let me know if you want me to post some of the better ones. If you are uninterested I will go elsewhere.

Regards
Stewart Nelson
