TOKYO -- Bank of Japan Executive Director Takayuki Kamoshida apparently hung himself Saturday, the Kyodo news service cited police as saying.

According to Kyodo, police said Mr. Kamoshida, 58, was found dead by his chauffeur at a housing complex in Tokyo's Itabashi Ward. No other details of Mr. Kamoshida's death were immediately available. Mr. Kamoshida was in charge of administrative matters at the central bank.
