Re: The importance of infrastructure

This comes from the CMND thread from briefing.com. CMND was sliced in half in a day recently when they missed earnings estimates by two cents (.04 vs. .06).

Spooking the analysts were the company's forecast of "short-term variations in both revenue and earnings growth," due to the timing of necessary additional infrastructure investments relative to the commencement of new projects.

I think ALYD management is going for the home run, not singles or doubles. From what I hear, they have leased enough office space to easily expand further if need be. Had they skimped, I'm sure earnings would be much better... but at what price in the long-term?

Right now, I guess it safe to say ALYD is a Field of Dreams-- "If we build it they will come." They're coming, but just not as fast as we'd all have liked. But, with Y2K, if you come as a spectator, come 1/1/200, it's game over for you.
