Elwood,
A single NJ Male by the name of Warren Buffet working as an Idiot wrote the article. It's this week end's issue of Barrons! This is the profile of a highly reliable source in my world.

Here is a recommendation for Internet stocks that is a must read for the dry humor if nothing else.

Elwood,
I had a stock buy alert on this show up on my email when it was $8. I even went to their unimpressive company web site and poked around. Decided not to buy. It would not have hurt to throw a few bucks on the stupid thing. I'm going to kick myself upstairs to bed now.

Elwood:

More promising was the big blocks falling over themselves as the stock was propelled higher. I think we will indeed see a big rotation by the funds out of DELL into CPQ and the momentum types will follow.

these people are nincompoops. it's not an issue of dell vs. compaq, I think it's an issue of when will dell skinny up to the number one spot? no offense to compaq's systems. but corporate america has been dealing with compaq for many years and compaq has made some serious mistakes (took them for granted) with their business accounts. dell is the "new kid" in town and they are leveraging more sales toward dell to "teach" compaq a lesson - much like the early days when so many were switching to mci from at&t. it was more about dislike for at&t than love for mci.
