E*TRADE moves up to #2 in Gomez Advisor Scorecard
gomezadvisors.com

E*TRADE. Is it possible? E*TRADE is actually getting faster! Our Site Seer performance data shows a remarkable improvement from last quarter. And you know what? It looks to us like the E*TRADE flames in the discussion threads are actually slowing down! In terms of our Scorecard, the on-line trading pioneer survived the carnage caused by our tighter Relationship Services criteria on the strength of their market-leading educational resources and portfolio alerts. Ease of Use has also benefited from a demo that has been upgraded from static pages to one that's fully interactive and guided, as well as from the hard-to-find unlimited transaction history capability that allows filtering by transaction type.

With E*TRADE advancing to #2, and Destination E*TRADE scheduled for release in May, next quarter's Internet Broker Scorecard could be E*TRADE's best shot yet at coming out on top in the Scorecard.

This also happened several times for me. On 3/6/97, I placed a limit sell order for 1000 shares at 6 3/4 before the market; the order got filled at 9 1/4 (NOT A TYPO); as I remember, those shares were trading at ~6 most of that day. From my experience with etrade and suretrade, I feel etrade has been and will continue to be the brand name of online trading. Looking at aol, dell, and yahoo, I'm currently betting that egrp will trade at much higher than currently by end of this year...
