ALL- i used to post here. a while back when i knew far less about my pc, i like sparq and syquest... i sold my shares a long time ago, traded them and scalped for profit.. i did ok.. i thought that this company was poorly run, but had excellent products.. so much so that a buddy of mine bought sparq... he had been into pc's and building them a long time.. like since before the net was available to the "public"... anyway. he is very happy with the product.. (he bought like 3 or 4 mos ago) i was looking to store some of my html files and graphics elsewhere... was gonna borrow his sparq... see if i liked it.. etc... i found out it was like trying to borrow a mechanics tools.. (see old joke @ bottom of post) anyway... he said he would come over and copy the files for me... time went by... i have only a 1.51 gig HD... no games or stuff like that... about 500 megs were left... and i am adding rbase to my setup for the website i am building... towncars.com I opted against sparq and bought a cdrw for $349 less $100 rebate. $249 + tax is $272... with acdrw included.. i can buy 50 cdr(one time storage) for $150 minus $75 rebate= $1.50 ea (i have also seen them for a buck....) now why would i ever want to use a non-standard medium? the price ain't less in terms of storage, transportability, and connections.... the cdrw is in my "box" installed myself (simple ide connect) I am new to installation and it went smooth(15-20 mins)it worked P+P.. sparq is dead... taxi oh yeah.. the old "joke" there are two things a mechanic holds dear in life, one is his tools and the other his wife... don't ask to borrow my tools.... and I won't ask to borrow your wife! taxi
