Thanks (don't know if I would trust LRCX and don't know much about EGLS and I wish UTEK's CEO would stop whining but the other 4 are pretty solid (assuming SVGI can sell to Asia). Certainly tough to go wrong with KLAC, AMAT and NVLS.)

All this cyclical rambling thing will change in a heartbeat:

when people wake up and realize that the PC industry is actually recovering very smartly these days (from a very severe inventory adjustment)

and

people also realize that the cutbacks in cap.exp spending by the chip companies are beginning to lead to stabilization of lead times and prices in the chip industry.

----

My gut is telling me that many of the semis (esp. the non-commodity guys) are seeing prices stabilize and lead times lengthen and that maybe not immdediately but with a lag of a few months many of the semi-equips will follow (but definitely not all!).

The only bugaboo of an unknown soldier is Japan.
