I am not aware of a separate symbol for "Real M2". There is a proliferation of terminology that does have a tendency to complicate analysis. Economists seem to enjoy keeping us in the dark about what they are really saying. I believe it is part of their job security program <GGG>.

When it comes to monetary aggregates, I prefer to look at the raw data and not "real" numbers. Inflation adjusted numbers are derivative. Inflation itself is a judgement and a broad based assessment. This is fine for broad aggregates like GNP are earnings. But for a more narrow series like the Ms I prefer raw numbers.
