MINK INTERNATIONAL RESOURCE CORP. Trading Symbol - MKM (V) May 04, 1998 THIRTIETH KIMBERLITE FOUND BY DRILLING Mink International is pleased to announce the 30th kimberlite discovery in its Kenieba Diamond Concession located in Mali, West Africa. It is the sixth found by the Company within two months of exploration work. The new kimberlite, a dyke, was intersected from 34 to 76 metres by a hole drilled at -65o from horizontal. It was earlier drilled by the Company by a vertical hole that missed the target, then perceived as a pipe. Additional magnetometer surveys and/or drilling are required to determine the extent of this kimberlite dyke. The new find, named Foulame, is located very close to earlier discoveries (viz: Kereko, Yaya and Pipes 47and 49) and lying along a distinct southeastern trend. Mink International is extremely pleased with the rate of kimberlite discoveries. Each new find is now leading the Company to ultimately locate the sources of the numerous large diamonds discovered on surface. The latest discovery has confirmed once again the recent observation of deep seated feeder dykes controlling kimberlite emplacement in the region. With this significant observation, Mink is confident of locating further kimberlite bodies in its Kenieba Property. The diamond drilling programme is currently ongoing in the Property.
