Shane and others: Front page article in Friday, May 1 FT "Euro-Japanese deal brings global mobile phones closer". An agreement between European and Japanese mobile phone groups has brought closer the day when subscribers will be able to use their handsets anywhere in the world. Later in the article: The agreement strengthens the possibility that Europe's standard for digital mobile telephony known as GSM will provide the core technology for a global standard for the next generation of mobile systems. Isn't this potentially very positive news for LSI ? Thanks for your comments.
