Well, David, it is funny that Hawaii is so laid back and definitely on island time except for the farmers' markets. I never quite get to ours before it opens, so I wouldn't know if it is the same here. There are quite strict rules like you are describing for estate sales and garage sales, however. I did not know that the comment period for organic foods expired today. I do know that most American organic farmers are repulsed by what the FDA came up with, which includes bioengineered produce and using sewage for fertilizer, among other horrors that most people who grow and buy organic fruits and vegetables are trying to escape. I even wonder if there is some sort of sinister motive, to ruin the industry. Is that possible?
