Tony - Re: " I think we can thank our lucky stars for the major barrage of Pentium II and related products that are available, or are becoming available soon, to keep the good times rolling."

You bet!

The 450 MHz Deschutes, Slot 2 XEONS with 450 NX chip sets, Mendocino, Katmai, Camino, and the eventual migration of these to the 0.18 micron process technology - including Willamette.

The Intel pipe is pretty full!

Paul

Tony, re:"rolling out Merced is going to be one very hairy project"

It should be present tense - Intel is going full bore now and seems to be doing great. Now is the time for commitments to IA-64 that will endure for the next decade or so. Everybody is coming on board so far. Absolutely great for Intel. (and for the customers too).

Also Merced is far larger than one project. Major projects are afoot. The only bummer is that revenue won't turn on till 2003 or so :(
