Brian, we certainly have a mystery here, and it was designed as a mystery, and without all the pieces it makes no sense and wasn't supposed to! Do you really think the HOLY SPIRIT instructed various tragic believers through the various times to sell their homes, all their possessuions, probably even dumped the animals at the pound or something equally insane, and went out in little groups and waited on some hill "for God to come get only them" That garbage went on with actually followers of Jesus Christ somewhere in the US several decades ago I think it was Adventist madness, or some pentcostals. I'm not talking whacked out occultists like the Heaven's Gate crowd. Those were pathetic familiar spirit controlled burn outs from the 60s. Literally.
So. I've obsessed for years in Mark and Matthew, looking for proof positive of the signals for me to watch for. All I see proof positive is that the Lord utterly laid out the warnings in great detail that in exactly 40 years (generation) the Temple would be utterly destroyed, they would be finished, and their lives snuffed or a nightmare. A remnant would be saved. We know that there is record of one tiny group slipped out of the gates when Titus suddenly turned back and waited another 24 hours. God parts the sea when He finds it prayful to do so, I believe. I don't think Titus withdrew his entire army on his own. I believe he was compelled by the Holy Spirit which had power over even Titus and the Roman Legions. But again, that only because some Jewish believers behind the gates of Jerusalem had the faith to know that God would get them out of there, and prayed such. And He did. But apparently only a remnant, and I have no idea what happened to them. This is NOT Massada. That was pure Jewish religion, and I don't think Jesus Christ played into their thinking at all from what history has left us. There is just record of some group escaping out of the gates and into the desert and then Titus came marching right back in and there was no more Jerusalem for almost 2000 years as we know it today.
So, of course prophesy of end time destruction has been completely fulfilled, and that's the secret. It was an immediate tribulation and end of the world for the Jews. Read Josephus with your own eyes.
Josephus speaks of that time. The most horrible slow deaths from thirst and starvation imaginable. People literally eating dead babies. Choas beyond description, and also Titus ran out of beams towards the end and was recycling cross beams for crucifying the inhabitants. That was the way the survivors went. did you know that? Read Josephus. He ends with, and I paraphrase, and how he was speaking of ages HE knew well of, Mespotamian history--Assurponipal bringing home whole armies with both eyes gouged out, led by one captive left with one eye to drag them along--before of course the captive army was really used for public amusement by the Mespotamians--so I believe Josephus was aware of horror. He writes that in the history of man no people had known such horrifying devastion. I am sure he was right. I believe that was what the Lord was trying desperately to warn everyone over and over.
Payback is not fun. Yes, it was payback. Sorry, but true. And warned 40 years in advance several times. Why wait 40 years? Well, would you rather go out in a blaze of glory at 25 when you don't give a darn and want to die young and leave a beautiful corpse, as they say, or be 50 or 60 and have handfuls of children and grandchildren and pets and property to REALLY make it unpleasant, to say the least.
There is an old saying: Revenge is sweetest when it is cold. I have to say that I see that in scripture over and over and over. WE have made God the Father of Abraham and Jesus the Annointed CHrist, His Son, into the stoned hippies "who just love everybody, man". Scripture paints a different picture. I don't like stoned hippies anyway. Was one at one time. And unfortuntely, the human image of god we have created, turning away from the exact descriptions in the Bible, is such a mindless entity who has no reasoning powers and cannot discern between right action and wrong action, and sees all people as just wonderful and he loves them--well, guess what. That's the devil. Little god, and of this world. he's the guy that says so anything, I don't care. I think you're great. That's because the worse you are, the greater chance that he gets your soul as a prize.
We all know this and see this, but we don't. Or we wouldn't be remaking God in our mind's image. Our minds, unfortunately, are totally the playground of satan unless completely under the control of the Holy Spirit. Boast not lest you fall is about the most serious as a heart attack scripture there is. I cannot assure you enough of this. Boast NOT lest you fall.
Satan now has our earthly eyes and ears 24 hours a day,and the depravity level and utter pornography in daily advertising has reached a point that it is pure science fiction, and every week a new envelope is opened. Hey, get a clue everyone, satan is in control, utterly, and completely, from the top. We have an accessory to murder and murders in the white house, a rich couple who cannot be made to even take a lie detector test in Colorado, and O.J. Simpson.
Our serial killers caught and jailed are now so numerous the serial killers are themselves simply becoming another statistic--NOT the fact that they are serial killers, but now they only really make the news if they TOP the existing record of bodies found. They are just joining the statistics of captured or unknown serial killers.
Do you realize why the song Mack the Knife was so popular in America in the late 50's or 60's, whenever it was? BECAUSE THAT WAS THE WORSE SERIAL KILLER ON RECORD. WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY THAT WE KNEW ABOUT.
So, that's another reality. Why do you think the Episcopal church has become the favorite haunt of aethiests, per some website advertising it? The church houses are being overtaken by satan, that's why, and the godless are beginning to LOVE the pagan inspired religious atmosphere.
There are so many mother goddess statues in the episcopal church, and if you look closely, the guy statute is often Peter or John, for Pete's sake--what are Peter and John doing there--or WORSE, Joseph, male partner to Mary in name only at the first.
You think I'm wrong? I went to Catholic school in 3rd grade and we made a sign of the cross while saying Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us. That of course makes Joseph the power behind Jesus, which gives Jesus no power at all. So a whole school of little kids were slowly turned into pagans praying to Joseph.
These are things to think about for the few, I guess, who don't have anything better to think about--like me.

But, now we're at the first time where there seems to be no battle going on on earth of note. Nothing to report. CNN said that there was not war of any kind--but quickly made sure no one flashed on the scripture of Peace, Peace, they cry, and then sudden destruction comes up them! The commentator said, "of course there are scrimishes in a lot of places right now where no one is talking about them." Well, wouldn't you think they would run to the only little skirmish on earth, then, and cover IT?
Anyway, I've been very, very, very concerned lately that I should be doing something since something very disturbing is going on around me. But again, Peace Peace and I am buying stock and the sun is shining.
Well, how does this line up with Daniel. Peace, peace, the time is here, we're running out of room to live and grow food, the animals in the wild are all down to a countable statistic everywhere but the middle of Africa, the air supply left in the Amazon is being burned as we speak, the whales and dolphins continue to try to crawl out of the sea and escape it on the shores, and the ozone layer grows every minute. My hairspray used 18 years ago is just now reaching the ozone that's left. That layer was divinely created to keepin our breathable air. That's why we don't die!!
We are also at the spot in Rev. 6 where Jesus says that the heavens depart as rolled up as a scroll. i.e., ozone layer keeping in earth's atmosphere simply being chemically removed by valance.
Anyway, that's enough for me right now. What does Puddinhead see in this. I need to read Daniel first, and plan to this morning for awhile. He's been on my mind, actually for awhile now. Must be the Lord.

Good-looking, captive, but still rich, smart, had it all. Didn't want it. Satan HATES it when humans look at people like Daniel. He rages and stomps and screams, I'm sure. He sure couldn't get Daniel, tried everything, and couldn't burn him up, even, and now we seek out his words. Same with a lot of them. When you read about their lives, the mind goes--no way. Must be made up. But it isn't.
