Back home again for a while as I have strayed from the fold to take advantage of some of the willy nilly, run for cover type stocks in the last week. Notice that the faithfull always return to the fundies, but with more money to place in safe harbors.

A stock of interest here may be BOST, though lacking the stellar fundies that we look for, is an interesting situation. The CEO and other top management has left the co. to a noted turn around artist.
BOST is in the process of a two year plan to bring the entire co. under one roof by buying out all of their franchises. This could be a long haul stock, but could also be a fun trader on the way up as there is a reported 20+ million share short position.

Just a thought.

"I am very pleased that we have a thread of
this caliber. Many a thread has disintigrated into shouting matches and name calling. I am
proud that this thread is so highly regarded by others. We are also glad to have attracted
such high quality participants to the thread. To all those participating and
lurking/occasional posters in Amigoland ."

I am a recent lurker who now tunes in to the Amigo thread on a regular basis. I am impressed with the high caliber of its postings and have decided to never post here ( or any where else )unless I have something genuinely constructive to say .
I have been very busy so I will not post any stock suggestions without performing an extensive DD although I hope that I will eventually be able to contribute something . For instnace, I am a molecular biologist/ biochemist by training and will be trying to track down some of the original research articles that pertain to Redhead's Safe Science suggestion. I will report back later this week if I find anything interesting.
My fear is that spam may begin to creep on to this thread but mercifully you have been spared so far. Lets hope it stays that way. Even making this post seems a bit indulgent.
Thanks
TW
