Jury & Janko, I have deliberately stayed out of the conversation of international taxation. Mostly because I find it a murky world where individuals tend to write their own rules. One only need to visit Cayman Islands and see the bank on every corner to understand the scope of the situation. But, I agree with Jury that if one is interested in the subject, one should engage the best professional advise affordable.

Day five, no gum; no patch, and still haven't killed anyone. I probably didn't mention, day seven without a drink. Unfortunately, that one had to go first, as after a couple of drinks, there is no will power. But, an Irishman without a drink; life's not fair!

I now find I can spend a couple of hours a day in my office. Still not very efficient, but still committed! Still haven't filled out the stupid brokerage application, but will treat myself at day seven.

"I promise not to open this point any more." That's Janko 'bout tax. (g)

Good morning to all!

I promise too, Janko :). Yesterday I read that EU is conferencing about "harmony" in taxing captital-gains. (it was not clear if gains out of trading stocks, options and so far was also issue of this discussion). There's a Europe-wide tax of 5-10% in discussion, and it shoud be a fast decision (valid 1999!!!)

For me that was a good surprise - every clearing of this unsafe-situation would be better than it has been so far.

We stay informed about that, I think?!

Now again: Happy trading to all!
