mike, i think the fed wants a bubble in the market. he appears to think that w/o the wealth effect we would enter into a recession. this economy is stressed. some areas are growing wildly. in my area they are putting up 3 new buildings on every other block. financial assets are flying high but other items seem to be deflating (computers).

this will be interesting to see it play out.
