***One Stock -- One Week*** The contest starts over this week. However, we seem to have temporarily lost our guru. Recent post said WTM Houston was in the Philippines.

My pick (TECH) closed with a flurry, up 9.46% for the week. Fortunately it was real money and I bought even more on Monday. I don't know what I want for next week. Anyone know where the market is going next??

Dick, great pick on PDS. A close friend of mine mentioned two or three months ago that he was watching the stock. I thought nothing of it until I visited him last weekend, and he told me why he was watching it. A mutual friend of ours from college, and currently a business partner of his, used to be with Simmons and Company, big time oil industry analysts. That friend told him to buy PDS with both hands, I think at 16 or 17. My friend screwed up and didn't buy. I didn't buy. I'm glad you did, at least.

I saw that hammer candlestick a few days ago and thought 24 might be a good buy-in price. But then PTEN missed and made a few disappointing comments, and there was some question yesterday as to whether UTI made or missed. I figured I'd wait for the dust to clear before reassessing the land drillers. I did, and oil spiked up, and now the stocks are more expensive. But I think I made the right decision to wait.

Oil prices on the web. Try these for futures. I know there are more.
