<< Now, you might wonder what COmpaq and Sequent might be up to, given COmpaq's
penchant for acquisitions and Sequent's emphasis on Big honking Enterprise Servers, a
market that Compaq would dearly love to participate in. >>

Thanks for you reply.
Forgive me if my question is ignorant, but if SQNT's big enterprise servers are going to be based on DEC UNIX and use Merced, why would someone like CPQ see any value into something they might be able to do themselves (ie. big enterprise servers based on the same chip, and even software)? Should I assume NUMA with Merced is the huge difficulty?

thanks

Paul,as a long time Intel shareholder I always enjoy reading your slant on things.Bought some SQNT this morning based on a number of factors including Value(Book value + cash=$16) and new products as well as possible takeover.Even though this stock has stayed at this price up and down since 1990,i feel it is truly Under valued. Any thoughts? Steve
