Hello Amigoland,

I need a lesson today, please help. I own this stock and I don't understand what the press release below means, so could someone explain how this impacts a stock???? Have seen this kind of press release from time to time, so I will have my stock lesson 101 today.

Dillard's files debt shelf for $300 mln
WASHINGTON, May 1 (Reuters) - Dillard's Inc filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission a shelf registration to sell up to $300 million in debt securities.
When combined with a previous registration, Dillard's will have a total offering of $500 million in debt securities available for sale.

No underwriters were named in the filing.

Net proceeds will be used to reduce short-term debt and other debt, to finance the company's operations and for other general corporate purposes.

Thanks and keep that smile,

Redhead

PS Congrats on the good stock picker award, you guys and Jim deserve it. Especially putting up with all my questions...hahahahha

Cary and others,GB1 on the Yahoo! DHI thread seems convinced that the
short covering is yet to come.It is our fondest hope that the arbs are
buying long during this time and will thus capitalize on both the upside and downside, and on the calls--but they still remain in control
of the stock, this is for them,a truly massive profit making manipulation.A good sign,is that they were unable to beat the price below
18 on friday as they might be getting some pressure from elsewhere to
force a cover soon--whatever,it is fascinating to study.
I am now pondering IMPX,EATS and STVI,but can only buy one,for a summertime hold.Which one--hmm?max90 Also AIRM.
