George,

Thanks for the answer. I'm looking at the Midland Walwyn pipe chart on page 63 of their analyst's report... when you compare the WSP dyke sample to Misery, is that based on the sizes or what? I see Misery came in at $26/carat. I hope WSP can do better than that with the colored stones. I was kind of hoping for 23rd Congress Pipe's $720/tonne valuations. Guess we won't know for a couple months.

Did you catch the 57% of Haywood reference. You think that was a mental lapse, being that their old NR says since Aber didn't chip in that WSP now has 68% of Haywood? Or am I missing something?

And BTW, how many cu. meters are there in a tonne of kimberlite? I keep forgetting. Maybe we should have a weights and measures thread where we can put things like that and the pipe charts for ready reference.

Thanks again.

Tomato

Hi George,

Has anyone read the Canabrava annual report yet?
Just look at the wording they use.

Whitefish Lake:
"..highly encouraging results achieved to date."

on discovering diamond indicator minerals and 2 kimberlite pipes in Whitefish;
"Management considers this to be a very encouraging result since it implies that both kimberlites could be diamondiferous."
"The discovery of these kimberlites in the first field program is EXCEPTIONAL, and it is the Company's belief that a potentionally diamondiferous kimberlite province has been discovered"
They have a picture of kimberlite #115 at Whitefish lake and it is on the surface!

and Brazil:
"Management believes there is a STRONG likelihood that ECONOMIC diamond pipes will be identified on it's properties in Brazil"

Can't be much more positive than that. And remember these guys aren't promoters.

I think if they find 1 diamond in Wawa this thing will take off.

When is everyone else outside this group going to wake up?

It's getting close...

Dave

George,

I'm looking for a possible silver lining on WSP. Addressing the colored stone issue. It looks that if you include amber stones (are they better or worse than white?), that the colored diamonds are about 1/2 of the 137 kg. sample. How does this 50% figure compare with other diamond finds in the world? E.g. if Misery is valued at $26/carat and is all non-colored stones (I have no idea what % of MIsery is colored- just using that figure), would you expect a Misery clone with 50% colored stones to have values 50%, 100% or some such figure higher? (I know- it all depends on multiple factors, but generally speaking, can one make any generalized statements about increased value?)

BTW, one would have thought there would be a NR by now on the base metal project with SUF and Samarkand.

NORA ANNOUNCES THE JOINT VENTURE ACQUISITION OF TWO (2) OFF-SHORE CONCESSIONS IN NAMIBIA TOTALING 190,500 HECTARES

Nora Exploration Inc. (NXI - ME), is pleased to announce the joint venture acquisition of two (2) additional off-shore concessions in Namibia, totaling 190,500 hectares (1,905 sq. km.)

Known respectively as "Block J" (100,000 hectares/1,000 sq. km.) and "Block N" (90,500 hectares/905 sq. km.) the concessions are located off the western shores of Namibia between the 100m and 200m isobath, both concessions are bordered to the south by the Namibian Minerals Corporation's concession (Namco) and to the north by Ocean Diamond Mining's concession (ODM).

For a total consideration of 300,000 common shares (150,000 per concession) Nora obtained an option to acquire a 50% interest in both concessions and has since exercised that option, creating joint venture partnerships with Woduna Mining Holding (Pty) Ltd. (Block J) and Karas Mineral Holdings (Pty) Ltd. (Block N), both of which have Exclusive Prospecting Licenses (EPL's) for diamonds in the Mercury-Conception Bay area granted by the government of Namibia.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In consideration for the participation and the formation of the joint venture agreements, NORA :
-has earned the sole and exclusive right to a fifty percent (50%) undivided beneficial interest in the joint ventures,
-shall incur the exploration expenditures on the EPL's,
-shall have the exclusive right to manage and operate the exploration programs for a fee of fifteen percent (15%)

Plans to develop the concessions are underway and scheduled to commence in the fall of 1998, starting with a detailed geophysical survey of the properties at a cost of approximately USD$400,000.

NORA is confident that the geophysical survey will reveal that the sedimentary base is similar to the surrounding concessions held by Namco and ODM.

Nora Exploration Inc., is a Canadian based exploration and mining company, actively involved in the acquisition, exploration and development of first rate diamond properties in Africa. The Corporation's rapid and dynamic growth will place it among the significant players in the world marine diamond business.
