He makes his living off Intel, selling Technology Roadmaps, presenting seminars, etc., but spent the latter part of his career bashing Intel and writing Intel's obituary. He never passes up an opportunity to dump all over Intel and any compliments he does make are back-handed damnations with "faint praise". He predicted that Slot 1 was going to be (1) a flop and (2) unnecessary Technology when Intel introduced it in 1997. Now he is writing editorials DEMANDING that Intel open it up and put it in the Public Domain! HAH! I'll bet Slater puts his own paycheck in the public domain! Paul
