dougjn, Welcome to the WIND thread. Allen has generated a lot of deep thinking about the past and future of the computer industry. My opinion on WIND lies somewhere between the alternate views offered by Allen and Mark. I have a long-term investment in WIND acquired in the $18-$20 range. It is indeed an intriguing company, but I highly recommend against betting the farm on this or any other stock. FWIW, I just reviewed the nationwide Yahoo! employment classifieds to get a handle on the demand for specialists with experience in various real-time operating systems. I conducted my search at the following URL: employment.classifieds.yahoo.com using the OS as the search key. I also included Windows CE, which does not currently have real-time features. The following results support Allen's contention that WIND has a dominant position, although the degree of dominance is certainly open to interpretation. I invite comments from anyone...
