Thanks for the quick response Jeff. The DCA uses white light refraction to get the exact color required. It can test up to 9 points on the tooth. The information is then sent to the computer which can coincide with any system that you are currently using. In addition it can tell you what needs to be added in order to get the exact shade. Ideally, if the lab you were using had the same machine, they could test what they are sending back to you to guarantee the color and there would be literally no room for error. It is explained in more detail at the company website. I'll definitely check out the ABMI website. I hope you do well on it. That would be the hardest thing for me if I was a dentist - the pain and the needles. Ouch. My dad's a surgeon and I'm amazed that he isn't queasy with every operation. I've seen many a video tape of different laparoscopic procedures, and I'm definitely more cut out for investing. Alot less pain, if you're fortunate enough to pick the winners. My philosphy is to find something your interested in and invest in that field. Then it's not just about money. I love anything to do with medicine, pharmaceuticals and technology. Though I don't like how long all the trials take if you need FDA approval, so right now I'm keen on medical technologies. A product, a patent - then the marketplace. Thanks again for the info.
