Hey X, Myron, Others:

Saw some movies.
Crash- Waste of time. Sure, car crashes and anal sex are not without their appeal, but the whole thing was so pretentious, like italicizing words for emphasis Anyway, it really stunk. There was some sort of theme they were getting at, something about despair/suicide/sex/etc. Failed kind of the way "nowhere" did.

Angel Baby- Great. Won Australian Best Picture award for some year, and it was refreshing, disturbing, and touching. Best love story I've seen in ages.

Waiting for Guffman- Funny the first time, hysterical on consecutive viewings. And even more impressive when I learned it was an entirely improvised script. Fans of Spinal Tap will certainly be glad to see Christopher Guest again, this time as the irrepressible Corky St. Claire. Wow. I've always wanted to use the word irrepressible.

Anyway, see Angel Baby and Waiting for Guffman. Avoid Crash at all costs.
