Nick, The company indicated they looked at that. But did not feel comfortable doing it. They felt they have abundant profit potential already. And it sounds to me like they do. They are incredibly excited about what is going on.

My understanding is that these cards are cash cards that work the same way that long distance cards do.....they're good for so many $$$$, or minutes. There are numerous telephone services here in Houston for singles, as in all major cities now, where you buy, say, 60 minutes of time for 20 bucks, and get connected to a voice mail type system for introductions and phone chatting with other subscribers. (Whether this takes a pornographic turn is up to the callers (g)) These cards would be used in lieu of a credit card to make such a purchase. I believe the net sites you refer to collect a monthly subscription, or access fee, which is different. When I first read about GLOW's cash card I immediately thought of how you can now buy long distance cash cards at grocery store checkout isles....makes them very accessible. I've never seen such a card dispensed by an ATM-like machine so don't know how this works. Maybe somebody can explain..... maybe you get a new card for, say, every $20, or maybe you get one card and the machine simply updates the amount of time it's good for. Whatever the technology, the phone services themselves are very popular, and common....all totaled across maybe half a dozen such services here in Houston I'd say there are quite a few thousands of users.
