I personally would not even look at a stock that someone says they like, but have not personally bought. I think that it is only adding to the credibility of his picks if he has/is bought/buying that particular stock.

Would you buy a stock that someone says they like, but they haven't bought yet?

There is NOTHING wrong with buying first and then telling everybody else what you did and why...

The ONLY thing that I object to here is someone saying "DON'T sell !! There is resistance at 90/3/7899, once we break that its 1,0000000$$$$"

and then they sell...... the ones who try to play the quickies get burned if thet arent fast enough... that is obvious and I have been on the short end of a few of those...

I have made a few modest picks that have performed very well.. and naturally I have bought them before I posted here.....

the difference is, no one has unreasonable expectations from MY picks based on my word (as well they shouldnt) so there is NO automatic run up...
Thankfully, people have taken a little time and seen the value in the pick and the buys develop naturally...

And now a specific response to your post... a Mayor should NEVER blow chow and admit it.....
