TSO and thread:

I got out of my last batch of DPMI at 50. Was disturbing to see it jump on up.

Now I'll just wait around and see whether it'll come back down to Duane's "re-entry point."

Meantime, I plan to rush to my bank Monday morning and see if I can float a loan against my home so's I can take on a big lot of
K-TEL.

Best

William

<< what are your thoughts about their projected 5-year growth
rate of 30% for DPMI, CYMI, PLAB, etc..? Doable?? >>

TSO, I was not able to access the NYT article. I don't think it would tell me anything new. What source did the article reference for that 30% number?

from Q4 Cymer C.C. on industry growth:

In the longer term, despite the near-term issues, deep-UV is ranked as one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global lithography marketplace. According to the independent market analysis firms, the deep-UV lithography market is currently projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 28 percent, at least to the year 2000.

The DPMI CEO on the C.C. gave a 15% number. So it's safe to say we should get double digit growth.
When it come to long range forecasts of a complex industry the expected vs actual observed outcome are often different.
I take these macro big picture numbers with a grain of salt.

The players you mentioned will benefit, to what extent only time will tell.

Regards,

DKG
