Define a Christian - very simple,
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?" (1 Cor 6:19 NASB)
1 Cor 6:19: Vs. 6:19 your body is a temple. A sharp contrast to the temple of Aphrodite in Corinth where the priestesses were prostitutes.

"Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."" (John 3:3 NASB)

John 3:3: Vs. 3:3 born again. Lit., from above (as in 3:31; 19:11), though the word also means "again" (Gal. 4:9). Both ideas (merged in John's gospel) are combined in the translation "be born anew." The new birth, or regeneration (Titus 3:5), is the act of God that gives eternal life to the one who believes in Christ. As a result, he becomes a member of God's family (1 Peter 1:23) with a new capacity and desire to please his heavenly Father (2 Cor. 5:17).

"Nicodemus said^ to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"" (John 3:4 NASB)

"Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:5 NASB)
One truth is clear: the new birth is from God through the Spirit.
""That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." (John 3:6 NASB)

Here we see the two natures, the natural(Adam) and the divine(God).

"For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust." (2 Pet 1:4 NASB)
2 Pet 1:4: Vs. 1:4 these. I.e., by the glory and excellence (v. 3). participate in the divine nature. The believer shares in the life of God by means of Christ and the Spirit living in him (Rom. 8:9; Gal. 2:20).

God did it because He loves us.

David

David, I am not afraid of passages in the Bible, and I don't believe Jesus discriminated against homosexuals. His message was one of love and tolerance, and many Biblical scholars believe all the messages against homosexuality were against homosexual prostitution, and heterosexuals committing homosexual acts.

I am very curious to see how all the homosexual haters over here will rationalize their belief systems once it is absolutely scientifically proven that homosexuality is genetic, and not a "lifestyle choice" in any way, but more like a trait that is just part of the self. At that point, discriminating against homosexuals will be like discriminating against the disabled. I am sure Jesus would not appreciate that!!!
