Welcome aboard Jody.
I also think HP will miss. However, unlike Frank, I do not believe the numbers are that important this time around. What will be important is the conference call. Focus on unix and nt sales, printers, Europe (up), Asia (stabilizing?) and verifone. Even the Pru upgrade hedged on this quarter. The Street will want some concrete statements about next quarter if we are to keep the recent gains. Just my opinion and for the record, I am terrible at guessing quarterly numbers.

I used to work for HWP as well, and had knowledge of
how well our division did about one or two days before
announcement. But I never had a clue where the final
numbers would come out. If there are cutbacks and expense
control, it usually is *after* the results are out
and they warrant such things.
