***1 stock 1 week*** HVSF short open 05/04/98

HVSF, WOW! This stock was at $95 in Feb 97. 7 employees. How the @#$% did this company became public? Sort of like that company Richard was talking about that cost less than a penny.

I think the momentum will be like VVUS. Up big, down bigger. :o)

HVSF: would you bet your money with a company called Harvard Scientific located in Reno Nevada?

Actually I suspect that both the HVSF longs and shorts could win the contest this week depending on when they close out their positions. The price was up about 75% Friday (~$4 to ~$7). The company is announcing that it is just starting to do toxicity testing so it would be some time before it would have an approved drug. Yet given the irrationality of the market the stock could even double, regardless of fundamentals. Prostaglandins are fairly well understood molecules and this is not a new chemical entity so, IMHO, this could eventually pan out. I don't know if the company has a proprietary position in this as a drug, however, which would be essential for maintaining a market.

As has been said, this will be an interesting play this week.
