That would make sense in a siingle processor system, but there would be way to much bus traffic in a multi processor system. Is it the intention that Merced will take over all server and workstation designs and x86 in the form of Willamette will be religated to the desktop? Intel usually hedges their bets. I don't think we will see a 800-1200 mhz x86 front side bus in the Willamette timeframe.
