Who works with TCI? TCI is going to order 5 million TV-decoders. INTC is out of the deal as chip provider. Either INTC was too expensive or incompetent. My guess is that only LSI or VLSI could handle this stuff in the near- to mid-term future. The winner gets it all; I suppose.
Also: TCI goes for a huge cable modem initiative, COMS and BAY will provide the hard- and software. COMS has probably the better part of the deal. Does LSI (or VLSI) provide COMS (or BAY?) with chips?
Cheers
Michael
