Those who sell too soon shall slip into the darkness of the damned while those of us who remain shall have eternity in our lips and eyes.

Judith , you are both right. I trade through Dean Witter and on several occasions I have had to wait hours or not gotten filled at all. I demand explanations frequently and have been told unless your broker is a market maker you can have your order kind of put on the back burner. In a perfect world you should be executed ASAP but in the world we invest in a lot of things can happen from the time an order is placed till it is filled. I have even placed limit sells and seen a stock trade higher for 10- minutes and drop back below my limit without being executed. I hate it but it does happen. MARK C.
