To all: Just gleaned this information from the newly posted info on the web site... Well it is new to me anyway. This technique for collecting revenues is awesome! Talk about business savvy! This is just one of the reasons I think Largo is blest with the best and brightest CEO'S; nice work Deng and Dan! Reads as follows: The Agricultural bank of China provides a collection service for Xinmao which allows customers to purchase LPG coupons from the bank. Each coupon is redeemed for a bottle of LPG at the nearest distributor. Then bank with 127 branches and over 900 sub-branch locations charges a nominal fee for the service and remits the balance to the company within 24 hours. The coupon is registered by individual serial numbers and is electronically traced. Only the original purchaser of the coupon can redeem the bottle of LPG. This arrangement permits for both parties the benefit. The Bank is exposed to new customers and earns income in doing so. Xinmao benefits by having a diverse network of locations (over 1000) to collect its fees in advance for the LPG which eliminates cash flow and bad debt problems.
