<sshhh> (...ya gotta keep this under your hat, but FBN is really a front for a Proctor/Gamble subsidiary called Double Zero, Inc.)

Double Zero, Inc. was set up in 1993 to find an organic solution to the Y2K problem. We think AR Brooks stumbled on the formula in their kitty litter but our sources suggest that they aren't aware of it.

The same reaction catalyst that makes the litter flushible also causes gallium-arsenide-based materials to adopt special "bit-binding" properties which nullify '99' and '00' shut-down codes. The embedded systems industry simply swaps out the silicon and&#151viola! (project code name: we call it "Maize").

Now don't let this out. You know what to do. We must get the formula at all costs. And don't let the Yahoo boards hear about it. They've got some sharp cookies who will spoil the whole plan. ;-)

Now, Scanner Man, you know that I, as a responsible and ethical Investor Relations person, cannot comment on the takeover rumors that we all know are swirling about Wall Street.

You will understand that I speak as well for our CEO, TEDennis, who is at present away on a business trip. He will be back on Tuesday.

We shall, of course issue a press release should any news develop.

I'm sorry I cannot be more helpful at this time.
