Based on income projections for 98/99, $40 appears to be very reasonable, especially if oil price stays at least firm. Was glad to see Exxon announce last week that their eploration spending will continue to rise. I am not sure all the investing community understands the extent of depletion in many of the world's producing fields. Many seem to think that existing supplies will just go on indefinitely.
