starfish is right, my apologies, just talked to my broker, shares requested to be put in your cash account are not shortable, however, if you have them in margin they are not your full property until paid for or cashed in, but the part i posted earlier about shares having a difference if they are brokered shares or company given shares remains true.

macker, still learning, and for all those who post thanks to me, i thank you all for your trust and helping me out as well, thats what makes us a great team. i love this country.
