This link has been posted before. I think it contains valuable insights into the issue of UNIX vs MS. I express the same concenrs and points made in that article. They just put it together in a better way. A good read. ncworldmag.com Where I work now, we're dumping everything microsoft and going with UNIX (Solaris) and Oracle DB. We're a very small shop of less than 20. NT just could not stay up reliably enough, could not reboot itself gracefully, cannot handle the load we're hoping to achieve. And we just cannot grow to meet our customers' demands with NT. The reality of IT's critical role in corporations will grow larger that MS' hype machine soon.
