macker,

I like the sound of that!

Although not entirely related, I can't help but think of my parents both having grown up during the Depression. Their conservatism is so absolute about jobs, that if I'd have listened closely to them I'd still be working my first high-school job. And I'm a little like that since one of my first stock market experiences was in '87 going through that "correction". When it comes to something like that, being able to "pull the trigger" "instantaneously" (many quotes here) as you almost can on the internet is a powerful motivator. And I know shorts play on this fear ALL THE TIME, and now I always recognize it when a poster starts blabbering it. Personally, paper doesn't mean that much to me, but if I can achieve the same thing electronically, I'll do it tomorrow.

3. here is the most important term for everybody no matter what part of the globe you live in: LOCAL SAFE
KEEPING HOW THIS WORKS: all you have to do is call your broker and ask that the shares be moved into local safe
keeping, they do not: a. have to be sent to you b. have to be mailed back if sold.<

I just remember what I was reading few days ago on MB trading tread (MB trading is broker used by day traders). Many traders who were short KTEL when it reached $48, were forced(by MB) to cover their short positions.Look like the reason was that many KTEL shareholders called in their shares.KTEL went down to $25 and now is again $48.
