Tony, OFF TOPIC, I posted my interpretation of the Yahoo post on this thread in response to the interchange between you & Dan O. on this thread. For that reason & the reason that neither you or Dan might regularly view such a tiny aggregation of LGND posts compared to what can be found here, I thought it best to do the deed here.
Dnarna went on to say, "Nobody's opinions are always correct." And it seems that I am not alone in noticing that his opinions were also subject to that condition.
Where he tipped his hand again to enable us to understand him better was in the phrase, ",,, as LGND actually begins to sell a product or two over the next several years." We know LGND is scheduled to present 4 NDAs within the next 12 months. It is not particularly scientific of him to be unaware, or pretend to be unaware of this. His niggardly estimate of how many of these 4 will achieve commercial sales, together with his insistence that LGND doesn't even know the modern scientific terminology for the receptors they spend 75 to 80% of their time working on, when combined with his petty concerns about Henry's private affairs & his grudging admission that what Henry posts is better than what uninformed posters give us, do not seem to me to be what would be expected from one with his purported credentials. Instead, the seem the biased rantings of someone who recognizes his own inferiority to Henry & tries to distance himself from it by bringing Henry down to his own level, where the posts are probably of no more value than those posted by the least informed of us.
His attempt to show his financial wisdom by predicting the stock value was probably currently correctly discounting the future is countered by the probability that LGND's partners will have more than 10 compounds in Phase 3 or higher in about 5 years, including NDAs, targeting indications averaging $300 million or more in annual sales each, expected to yield $4.00 or better on 60 million shares out then,in addition to what LGND will earn from the compounds reserved for itself in its' niche cancer, men's & women's health, dermatology, & other indications. Put a multiple on that & tell me how many hundreds of dollars per share LGND could be expected to sell for.
