My only defense is that I frankly never heard of APTX or SIRN before last week. It was SIRN's quarter results, in which it exceeded expectations by nearly 90% with a quarterly EPS of around 0.80 (for a 7 dollar stock!), which caused me to start researching SIRN. The link between SIRN and APTX, and SIRN's adoption of APTX's new technology, convinced me that SIRN was not simply a flash in the pan but had a bright long term future. Thus, once I started looking at SIRN it didn't take me long to decide it was a great buy. Fortunately, I think it will continue to be a great buy for the foreseeable future as it continues its upward climb.
