Yes Jenna, this is a game of experience. To be both a daytrader and an investor requires:

1) Discipline
2) sound DD
3) Real Time quotes
4) the ability to watch tickers all trading day
5) some luck

I am sure you can add to this list. You are one of the best on SI imo

Jenna,

I have found that for me the more simple I keep things the better. I have never shorted a stock, covered calls or any other type of trading. I buy and sell stocks and that is it and after I finally got my system down it has worked very well for me.
